Le Vendée Globe 2012 est la course autour du monde en solitaire sans escale et sans assistance qui passe par les trois caps, le Cap de Bonne Espérance, le Cap Leeuwin et le Cap Horn. Le départ de la course est donné des Sables d'Olonne tous les quatre ans. Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden.
