In this video, the Global Surveyor encounters an Inuit boat near Ikateq, Greenland, close to the abandoned US Army Air Force base known as 'Bluie East Two'. This base operated from 1942 to 1947 before being abandoned. Everything was left behind, including rusted fuel drums, military vehicles, and collapsed buildings. #sailboat #adventureawaits #bucketlistdestination #greenland #abandonedplaces
Another day, another mackerel 🤙 As we sail between villages, we troll a line to try to catch some pelagics to gift to the unsuspecting chef for acceptance of our stay. There’s something about being out at sea that quiets everything else. 🌊 No noise, no rush—just wind in the sails and the rhythm of the water beneath you. Out here, time feels different. Slower. Softer. You start to notice the little things—the way the light dances on the waves, the steady pull of the tide, the feeling of being both small and completely free at the same time. It’s not just a journey across water… it’s a moment to breathe, to reflect, to just be. Sometimes, the sea doesn’t just take you somewhere new—it brings you back to yourself.
