Monaco dahling? I’d rather be sailing! In our latest episode, having sailed further east from Antibes, we waited for a weather window to cross back to Corsica and found ourselves in Monaco - known the world over as the playground of the rich and famous. We dipped our toes into this tiny but exclusive and expensive country and watched the weather. Instead of the hoped for northerlies to blow us across to Corsica, the forecast grew into a far reaching mistral and the marina had no space for us to stay! After finding what we hoped would be a protected anchorage we crossed our fingers…. Once the mistral passed we regrouped back in Monaco before deciding to abandon our Corsican plans and start heading west and as a result we enjoyed some fantastic sailing en route to Toulon…. #followintrepidbear #sailingvlog #youtubesailingchannel #sailinglife #medsailing #sailorgirl #monacolife #cotedazurfrance #sailthemed #anchorages #summersailing #thehighlife #idratherbesailing #sailingstories #sailingadventure
Turn to Starboard use sailing to support Armed Forces personnel affected by military service. We help serving and retired military personnel with physical injuries or mental trauma, and their families, to benefit from the therapeutic effects of sailing and the sea. Based at Falmouth in Cornwall, we offer several strands of activity including Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing courses, family sailing trips, Zero to Hero programme, Tall Ship sailing and competitive racing. The focus is on resettlement, reintegration and reinforcing a sense of value and belonging for participants, along with an opportunity to gain professional sailing qualifications to start new careers in the marine industry.
