Lądowanie pontonem na Wyspie Wielkanocnej jest słynne na cały Pacyfik. Na podejściu do maleńkiego porciku potrafią załamywać się nawet kilkumetrowe fale. Tu jeszcze jest spokojnie, jednak kiedy sytuacja się pogorszy lądowanie staje się zbyt niebezpieczne, a porcik zostaje zamknięty. Bardzo przydaje się mocny silnik pozwalający płynąć w ślizgu.
