This year, we again had a variety of different brands of catamarans like Lagoon, Bali, Leopard, Catana, Outremer, Fountaine-Pajot Lightwave, Voyage and others, totaling 27 catamarans. It is a nice cross section of brands and owners who no doubt enjoy meting each other and touring each others boats, catching some tips and ideas from each other. We even had a famous boat join the festivities! The “La Vagabonde” Outremer 45, the former home of Reily and Elena, is now a sailing school boat in the Abacos! This is about as close to live as we can get. Andy has sheltered in place at a hurricane protected building and I have gone to Brandon which appears to the be where the eye is going to make landfall. I can't get outside now as the wind and rain is really strong. Andy is able to see the boat via the marina webcam and she appears to be doing well. I do belive we are about 2 hrs from landfall. Other reports from friends that the water in the ICW that connects the channels to the Gulf of Mexico at clearwater harbor and Clearwater Beach appears to be lower which means the water is being taken from the hurricane as it did with Ian 2 years ago. Wish us luck as we contine to go thru this hurricane. Prayers to all in the path of it. This one is nasty for sure!
