In this video, I fly Mira Slovak’s original Bücker Jungmann, a legendary German-designed WWII-era biplane with an unbelievable backstory. Even the anchorage which was protected by two sea walls was rough, I filmed this inside the harbor heading from Monroe Harbor to the Chicago Lock. There were waves crashing and cascading on the outer seawall--wish I would have filmed them as the morning sunrise made them visible.
