The Strike 15 has folding outriggers. This video shows a mock up of the unfolding system. The hulls and beams are real, but clearly unfinished. However the beambolts and attachments are temporary. Trailing width is 2200, approx 7ft The outrigger unfolds itself because the boat is on a slight slope, so gravity is forcing it to open. Normally one would pull it open by hand - very easy though Build your own Strike from plans by Woods Designs www.sailingcatamarans.com I also have a range of other multihull designs, both power and sail from 14-45ft that you can build yourself from plans

Is it safe to sail in a deep canyon? Sure! If you watch the wind and weather closely, have the right equipment, and familiarize yourself with how mountainous terrain affects the wind. Quando eu comecei a expedição coloquei na cabeça que ia tentar aprender a tocar violão "de verdade" e praticar chorinho. Com esse cenário as coisas ficam um pouco mais fáceis. A próxima e mais difícil etapa é praticar como parar de fazer tanta careta quando eu toco :P
