Advantages: Lighter Longer life-span Stronger and can actually bear the force of redirecting lines via a carabiner/shackle Allows way more water to flow through(safer) More resilient with individual Dyneema lashings instead of using one or two segments to attach Disadvantages: Added cost (approximately $5k as of this video) The rigging person will have phantom hand cramps appear when thinking of your boat

Today was a prep day on Eriskay. We are starting to prepare for a sail down the Albanian coast into Greece in a while and took her out to run the motors up and stretch her legs on the water a bit.
