This propulsion system has been tested over a 10,000-mile journey from Vietnam all the way to France. The hull of the Max 44SC has very fine-entry bows, which we found to guarantee a remarkable glide through the water in light airs, while its intelligently laid-out deck hardware facilitates short-handed maneuvering and contributes to making this model a very seaworthy multihull. We recently navigated the uncharted Kinabatangan River, aka 560 km of wild, winding waterways home to monkeys, elephants and other rare and endangered wildlife. The surface looks calm, but at night, those glowing eyes of giant crocs in the torchlight remind you who really owns this place... very splash had our crew looking twice!
