We had an great day at Wildwopd at Escot in East Devon this weekend. This brilliant family day our has plenty of amazing animals, many of which are native to the UK and either threatened or sadly wiped out here. Lagoon 43 Test Sail in the Bay of Palma (Mallorca)! ▫️ Lagoon has been testing the #1 hull since March. This new sailing catamaran model has got off to a roaring start. They have already sold 70. So far, seven have been built. ▫️ The master cabin is forward where it is quieter, and thanks to the shaping from VPLP the space in the forward and aft cabins in the guest hull is very similar. Carbon reinforcement has been used in the saloon to open the whole area up: the "In and Out" solution. ▫️ This boat has similar dimensions the 42 (which remains in production for now), with significantly more living area. ▫️ Base price: €499k. Any #yacht featured in the superb pre-Second World War series of ‘Uffa Fox books’ is without question a special one, and DRIAC may be best known these days from her inclusion in Fox’s ‘Sailing, Seamanship and Yacht Construction’ (1934). From a time when the design of the ideal offshore #sailing #cruiser was still evolving and much discussed, Uffa waxed lyrical about this characterful Charles E. Nicholson design which had comfortably reeled off well over 5000 miles in her first two seasons, including Portsmouth to Malta and back, under the command of her redoubtable first owner, A.G.H. Macpherson.
