Living in a Trinidad shipyard for over a year many of the friends we've made either work in the area or are into boating or sailing. One Trini friend was heading out for a lime DDI and kindly invited us to come along - our final destination was my favourite getaway, Chacachacare! He has a small monohull sailboat that's great for Caribbean island hopping. With our catamaran having been stuck on land for over 14 months undergoing warranty repairs it felt so good to get out on the water, put a sail up and go where the wind takes us!
This optional excursion combines walking, hiking, swimming, and canyoneering in a spectacular location; the Cetina Valley, located near Omis on the mainland of Croatia. This impressive river and valley are home to many adrenaline-inducing activities, including river rafting, zip-lining and of course, canyoning! Cliffs in the Canyon can reach up to 180 meters high, where you can enjoy amazing views out over the valley, jump from rocks into splash pools below and canyon down the river with your body! This optional excursion is only available on selected Sail Croatia Cruises and routes. For more information on what is included and what to expect when Canyoning, visit our website here: https://www.sail-croatia.com/set-sail/resource/sail-croatia-excursions#croatia-canyoning
