Le compositeur norvégien Johan Halvorsen (1864-1935) a écrit sa Passacaille et Sarabande en sol mineur avec variations sur un thème de Haendel pour violon et alto ou violoncelle en 1897. Il s’est inspiré d’un segment de la Suite pour clavecin en sol mineur, vol. 1, n° 6, HWV 432, publiée en 1720 par le compositeur germano-britannique Georg Friedrich Haendel (1685-1759).

When her present owners decided to build a replica in 2004, the only change was to the construction method - strip plank rather than traditional plank of frame.
