With the self-imposed sailing deadline of April 1st here, I couldn’t wait for the water pump to arrive. So my friend, Rick Cook came to help me get Vie Sauvage out of the marina and her sails hoisted. The tender and old Johnson outboard did the job in towing the 4ton sailboat both out and into the marina. A long day of gentle breezes and practice in sailing. My first sail ever on my own boat! The first week for the season ending frosties regatta at SLYC was sailed under grey skies with big breeze. The crew on the Sigma 33 Squawk showed the rest of the YTC 2 yachts how to handle the spinnaker with ease. They setup to go deep and flew down the last run on the way to second place in Race 2.
