The design has been reshaped to a higher aspect ratio that allows the use of a shorter boom. Coupled with a reduced width head this gives the sail a more compact feel. The luff length increase is balanced by the introduction of a closed sleeve head that replaces the previously used plug fitting. Leech outlines have been adjusted to further improve rig reactivity. Peter Harrison's Jolt, with tactician Nic Asher, left the best to last: a clean win on the final day to secure the Maxi Grand Prix title. Behind them, North Star and Django 7X completed a full North podium sweep in the class. In Maxi 3, Manticore scored two bullets across the week. H2O took second in Maxi 4-5.   Four classes.
