Here is a local Ski Patroller, Chris Austin, reviewing his Kindred skis. He gave us some of his time during a precious day off. Alpine Resort Operations are carried out by teams of passionate people who work together in a complex system. We think that patrollers are the heart of that system. We all ski and snowboard at resorts with more peace of mind knowing there are people to help if anything goes wrong. These folks do it for the love of the sport and take time away from powder days to assist people who are lost or injured. Luckily, when Ev broke his leg a few years ago Chris was his attending patroller. So many of the decisions Chris made that day helped to reduce Evan's suffering and ensure the most positive long term outcome from a crazy injury. It's good to know that Chris' Kindred skis play a small part in facilitating the excellent work he does. Thanks Chris! We’re spending hurricane season in Grenada on our sailing catamaran. We were shocked to see our mooring lines hanging on by a thread! Luckily we were able to make some adjustments before possibly losing our boat… 🫣 #boatlife #sailing #caribbean #catamaran #liveaboard #grenada #sailingaroundtheworld #mooring
Flying My Dog for the First Time 🐾 | Preparing for Airplane Camping Adventures In this video, I take my dog flying in my airplane for the very first time to prepare him for airplane camping this summer. As a pilot and professional skydiver, I want to make sure my dog is completely comfortable with every part of the flying experience before we head out on longer aviation adventures together. We go step-by-step through the process of introducing him to general aviation: Sitting in the cockpit with the engine off Starting the engine and getting used to the noise Taxiing around the airport And finally, a short flight around the pattern He crushed the ground portion like a pro, but once we took off, he definitely got more nervous in the air. I kept the flight short and smooth so we could build up his confidence gradually. If you're a pilot flying with dogs or planning to go airplane camping with pets, this video shows how I’m easing my pup into it the safe way. ✈️ Dog-friendly flying tips? I’d love to hear them—drop them in the comments! 🐶 Subscribe for more aviation, skydiving, and travel adventures! #FlyingWithDogs #AirplaneCamping #BackcountryFlying #DogCamping #PilotDog #AviationLife #GeneralAviation #DogAdventure #BushFlying #FlightTraining #FlyingDog #PilotVlog #SkydiverLife #AdventureDog #DogFriendlyTravel
