Ogni tanto fa bene fare il punto della situazione. Stiamo diventando parecchio numerosi tra queste righe, perciò è buona educazione presentarsi come si deve. Chi ci conosce già può sempre provare a indovinare una caratteristica di uno dei due e scriverla nei commenti 🤭 come sapete vi leggiamo sempre con un sorriso. Siamo Andrea e Camilla, “partner in crime” dal 2020, velisti appassionati e umani intraprendenti. Pubblichiamo un video ogni giorno con il diario di bordo. Per non cadere in una melmosa e noiosa routine talvolta riassumiamo per filo e per segno la giornata (velocità di crociera, direzione, porto di appprodo, etc) altre volte lasciamo andare la fantasia e ci divertiamo a parlare d’altro. Ciò che rimane praticamente sempre, ovvero da 162 giorni, è la nostra voglia di condividere le nostre esperienze, pubblicare le nostre riflessioni, parlare del bello e del brutto tempo (letteralmente e metaforicamente parlando), assicurati da una solida fiducia che questo posto possa ancora essere un luogo di scambio e di crescita personale e collettiva. When you get the speed wobbles you need to sheet the kite in tight to avoid a crazy uncontrolled gybe like the one we had on this sunny autumn day on Strangford lough. The mast man took a pounding as the rock and roll of the boat slipped him of the deck as our Mumm 36 turned into and uncontrolled gybe. The wipe out managed to break the kite poke in two as it was pinned back against the side stay as the windward side of the boat quickly became the leeward side as we swung through the gybe. Luckily it was only the pride of the crew was damaged as no one was seriously hurt. With the pole broken it was a long afternoon on the race course without the big kite, the team on GTR raced on flying the A-Sail of the bow to ensure they did not end up with a DNF in the second race of the day.
