Catamaran Sailing at Its Best! See What It’s Like #shorts | Harbors Unknown Ever wondered what it's really like to sail on a Seawind 1600 catamaran?! Watch this #short to see what its really like to sail in 20 knot winds. For the full experience check out episode 37 for our epic sail from Nantucket to Rhode Island. https://youtu.be/JSk3DLpmIAg If you're new here, Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin and Fabio Potenti, and our French Bulldog dog Yoda. We sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic (May 27th, 2020) and moved aboard our Seawind 1600 #catamaran, Wanderlust, in September. We plan to sail her to Harbors Unknown, and explore the world’s vast cultures through food, a common thread amongst people everywhere. Connecting with people and places through the local cuisine, and showing how those dishes can be cooked on a boat with limited space and resources. We share our adventures as a sailing couple living on a boat and how it’s possible to live an #alternativelifestyle that provides freedom and fulfillment. We have just set off on our voyage sailing around the world, after exploring the beautiful waters of South Florida, the Florida Keys, and the Bahamas. Subscribe now to join our #sailingadventure.

Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland was formed by glaciers during the last ice age. It is a place of great beauty as well as being a fun place to sail for cruisers and racers alike. The tides are strong due to the large volume of water that races in and out of the narrows between Portaferry and Strangford every 12 hours. Mastering the tides is a key to getting where you want to be as fast as possible. If you get it wrong you will end up going backwards in seconds. It is always great when someone takes footage of you boat from afar, this drone footage was taken James Curran as GTR works towards on the Narrows on her way to the Irish sea during the 2019 race from East Down Yacht Club to the Isle of Mann. It was a great days racing with GTR just making the crossing before the time limit prevented other boats from recording a finish in the IRC 1 class. Thanks for stopping by and watching Bottom Up Boats latest YouTube #shorts ... Thanks to our friends at No Copyright sounds for the sweat tunes to accompany GTR as she slides on by Halcyon & Starlyte - Escape With Me (feat.
