There comes a time in every cruiser's life where they will eventually face the need to replace their cutlass bearings. We've dropped our rudders, taken the props off (BYE BYE!), and the shafts out. The shafts are really important not to damage, scratch or knick in way away so both shafts have been cradled like precious babies and stored in a safe, secure area on cushioning. Once all of that was done, it was time to get the Cutlass Bearings out. After having a fast sail down the coast from San Francisco to Santa Barbara in some very windy conditions, it was wonderful to be back in a dock. We knew we were officially in Santa Barbara, and SoCal in general, when we saw someone taking a poo barefoot... the ol' SoCal Barefoot Pooper! Why put shoes on when you could... not.
