Trash on a boat is a daily occurrence! When we buy groceries we try to remove and leave as much packaging on shore but trash inevitably accumulates. In each new harbor we have to find the spot where cruisers can deposit their trash. In some cases, like St Maarten, itâs free. In other countries, or ports, there are small fees. The one thing a cruiser should never do is bring trash to land and leave it for someone else to take care of. InsteadâĻstop by your neighbors (even if you donât know them yet) and tell them youâre doing a trash run and youâre happy to take theirs! Follow us for tips, updates, how tos, and more about living the sailing cruiser lifestyle. #takingoutthetrash #sailingexperience #sailinglife
Sailing one of Indonesiaâs most unheralded gems, the absolutely stunning Togian Islands of North Sulawesi, we experience amazing clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, golden sand beaches, relics of world war two, incredibly welcoming locals and an intriguing Bajau culture dating back centuries. In this episode we immerse ourselves in that culture and meet the most famous Bajau man alive, a free diver they call Jago. #sailing #sailingindonesia #travelindonesia #liveaboardsailors #sailingaustralia
