The first test of our Dyneema loops that replace metal chainplates as part of our full Dyneema Standing rigging project within the full refit of our 1977 Rival 38. We are refitting our Rival 38 for a Sustainable Sailing retirement in a few years. Two years ago, when we bought Vida she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings. We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all electric (motor, cooking etc). Now that the inside is dry (thanks to new windows, new hatches and leak chasing) we are fitting her out for live-aboard world cruising. That includes no fossil fuels, updating the rig and deck plus much more. Lots more detail on our blog at https://sustainablesailing.net/ We are on Ko-Fi! where you can buy us a coffee :-) https://ko-fi.com/sustainablesailing #DyneemaRigging #DyneemaStandingRigging #SyntheticRigging #Shorts
