The last opportunity to qualify for the Final of the SAILING Champions League 2019 is coming up soon - the third and last qualifier which takes place in St. Petersburg, Russia, over four frenetic days from 4 to 7 July. Racing on the Neva River, amid the spectacular scenery of St. Petersburg, is a humbling experience. It’s also a challenge, with shifting winds and strong currents. There are 20 clubs from 12 nations (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland) fighting for six places that are available for a ticket to the Final in St. Moritz in August.

Ci svegliamo e corriamo a noleggiare un’auto. Troppi luoghi da visitare e troppo poco tempo per Guido, Federico e Renato. Vorremmo vedere il più possibile insieme, dato che domani partono. Così, presa una Panda con problemi di freni e cambio, ci arrampichiamo in prima fino a 1800 metri. Passiamo le nuvole e raggiungiamo il sole che ci scalda della sua luce diretta. Mangiamo un panino al volo e via che si continua! Andiamo verso una spiaggia che pare essere spaziale, ma prima mi lasciano ad un bar a lavorare. Due call importanti che voglio fare. Così mi fermo e metto in pausa l’esplorazione. Gli altri continuano d raccontando panorami e paesaggi incredibili. In questo video abbiamo Cercato di ricreare ciò che abbiamo visto con i nostri occhi. Una meraviglia in terra che non pensavamo esistesse! We LOVE Nando’s Peri-Peri sauce, but it's is hard to find (and pricey!) in Trinidad, so I decided to make my own version. The result; something that's smoky, spicy, tangy and full of flavour, which we can adapt to local ingredients as we sail around the work. 👉 Recipe: https://www.travelsketchsailing.com/post/homemade-nando-s-peri-peri-sauce To start, I char-grilled onions and capsicum (bell peppers) on the boat, then blended them with garlic, hot peppers, and spices. The mixture simmered then cooled before being emulsified it with oil. The result? A bright orange, homemade Peri-Peri sauce that’s just as good as Nando’s! After backpacking Asia, road tripping Europe and doing a bit of van life, we’re now exploring the world aboard our Leopard 45 catamaran.
