Pour battre le record, détenu depuis le 25 décembre 2016 par Thomas Coville en 49 jours 3 heures 4 minutes et 28 secondes, François Gabart devra couper la ligne d’arrivée avant le 23 décembre à 13h09 (heure française) sur son trimaran MACIF. En plus de travailler sans relâche pour faire avancer son trimaran de 30 mètres le plus rapidement possible, il devra donc bénéficier d’un enchaînement de conditions météo favorables. The sailboat show is whizzing by - already day 3. It has been an amazing chance to meet everyone and see how these propellers have made their sailing lives better. I discovered we have Autoprop off to Antarctica on an epic voyage. We have a lot of new owners who have taken the plunge on Leopard catamarans and are thrilled with the propellers and other customers thanking us for years of support as they sadly sell their boats and retire to California to be closer to the newly arrived grandkids.
