Happy 1st of December! 🌟 We’re kicking off our Christmas calendar with a tour of the salon, the heart of our boat, Vela. ❤️ This space is so much more than just a room: ➡️ On the port side, our cozy settee transforms into a dining room, office, or even a nap spot during passages. 🛋️💤 ➡️ On the starboard side, we have two lounge chairs with a hidden drinks locker in the middle—perfect for those sailing sundowners. 🍹 ➡️ The salon also holds tons of storage, but we’ll dive into that in a later episode! 🚪 It’s the first room you step into when you come aboard, and it’s where we live, work, eat, relax, and more. Life on the coast of Maine can be challenging - rough seas, rugged shoreline, extreme weather. Our vessels are built to withstand everything mother nature can throw at us. When the USGS came to us looking for a survey vessel for their Woods Hole operations, our fabrication division was up to the task, and delivered a vessel built to handle the agency’s important and challenging work. This 26’ aluminum vessel was launched this summer as part of our growing fleet of workboats.
