One blue whale is taking a deep dive in Skjálfandi Bay close to Húsavík on Iceland. It´s incredible to see this enormious animals in wild nature. You can get this great experience with North Sailing.

The weather is beautiful in the Med. And sometimes the Tramontana wind makes itself heard and the wind picks up from the Northwest . At one moment, we saw it brought dark clouds over the eastern Pyrenean mountain range towards the sea and over the harbor. We had the boat open, so quickly closed the hatchers, but had no time to install the canvas to protect the rear deck from the rain. So in this movie you see this fierce hailstorm came over us in the harbor, leaving big hailstones on the deck. That was a first for us! The sound was so loud. And just as quickly as it came, in 1 hour the air cleared and the sun reappeared. It’s a well known phenomena in this part of Mediterranean, called the Golfe du Lion.

When Liz and I sailed to Kazikli we had dinner at one of the two local restaurants. This one allowed us to take dinner on a floating raft where we were able to pull ourselves along a cable out to 'sea'! When we needed table service, however, a little local lad had to jump in his oversize dinghy and row the second bottle of red over to us! Classic! THE BEGINNING OF THE ADVENTURE As I hung up the phone and begin running frantically across the parking lot... A car barrels in front of me blaring its horn. Carl pops his head up and yells 'whoa, what's the rush?' Its Another Adventure, she's sinking! I scream and point across Boca Ciega bay in Gulfport St Pete. Through the Thinly scattered boats across the Anchorage you could barely see the gray hull of Another Adventure, the bow was dipping bellow the surface and the stern gunwale only 2-3 ft from the water. it appeared as if there was no way to make it in time but I didn't miss a beat as I sprinted around his car and to the dinghy dock. Hoisting the sail on the sunfish and cursing the wind gods 'of course there's no damn wind, why would there be wind at a time like this?' I exclaimed with frustration. fortunately I am smart enough to keep a paddle on bored and begin making my way out swiftly. That was over 3 years and 7000 nautical miles of Another Adventure ago! when Another Adventure was in fact not my Adventure at all. The above is the beginning of a book I will hopefully one day finish and is a true story of how sometimes just doing the right thing can open doors beyond your wildest dreams!
