The Sunreef 80 GAYA is a head-spinning luxury yacht combining bold exterior styling with refined interior design and great performance under sail. With her navy blue hulls and silver superstructure, topped with a black mast and boom, GAYA is a highly customised craft belonging to the shipyard's new range of sail catamarans. Following her delivery by the end of 2018 in Gdansk, Poland, the yacht sailed to the south coast of France to spend the wintertime cruising between Monaco and Barcelona.

Sunshine and a steady 6 knots to 8 knots of breeze breeze greeted the competitors for Race 3 of Strangford Lough narrows regatta. GTR has some ground to make up after dropping back to mid fleet. With the angle free but not free enough to fly the spinnaker it was the perfect moment to deploy the Code Zero. With the both sails set and trimmed in GTR was doing two to one over its nearest rivals which allowed them to eat into the lead and eventually take the race win. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you are enjoying our short bits from the 2024 racing season on Strangford lough.
