We help serving and retired military personnel with physical injuries or mental trauma, and their families, to benefit from the therapeutic effects of sailing and the sea. Based at Falmouth in Cornwall, we offer several strands of activity including Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing courses, family sailing trips, Zero to Hero programme, Tall Ship sailing and competitive racing. The focus is on resettlement, reintegration and reinforcing a sense of value and belonging for participants, along with an opportunity to gain professional sailing qualifications to start new careers in the marine industry. Snorkeling with the largest fish/shark in the ocean is a truly mind blowing experience. The giant polka-dotted sharks can measure up to eighteen meters and feed entirely on plankton. All over the world there are different spots where whale sharks congregate in large numbers to feed on the nutrient rich waters. Just off the coast of Cancun in Mexico is one of the largest whale shark congregations sites in the world—where you can literally see hundreds of these gentle giants slowing swimming about on the surface as they siphon up their meal. Since they are right on the surface the best way to approach the sharks is by snorkeling!
