To avoid terrible sailing conditions, we made the bold choice to cross the notorious Sulu Sea from Malaysia to Palawan, stopping overnight on an island deep in the red zone!? Known for pirate activity and unpredictable weather, this quickly became one of our most intense and nerve-wracking passages yet. Die Halse mit Spinnaker und den doppelten Schoten und einem asymetrischen Spinnaker Baum ist anspruchsvoll aber auch sehr sicher bei viel Wind. In meinen Segeltrainings ist dies das Königsmanöver. Auf einem Törn eher selten, dann schon eher beim Skipper Training auf Mallorca zu finden.
