You're not only watching Charlie Dalin win the VendΓ©e Globe, but break the race record by NINE days. Charlie Dalin had been there but never done that. In the 2020-2021 edition of the Vendee Globe race, he had been first up this channel. But he officially finished second after Yannick BestavenΒ was awarded time credit for coming to another sailorβs aid and achieved a well-deserved victory. Today it is Charlieβs day. There is nothing anywhere in sailing like the day the first finisher crosses the line in Les Sables dβOlonne. Harken was there, At The Frontβ¦where we must be.
