The 70th-anniversary race to Apollo Bay started on time at 6am in 15 knots of wind from the NW. It was MRV that lead the fleet from the start and who were first through the heads. Ginan, Arcadia, Hot Chipps, How Bizarre, Cadibarra, Jaffa and Shimmer are all closely following. The winds are predicted to hold all day making for a fast race and quick race. With all boats safely through the heads, we have Blue Water Tracks providing a quick on water update. Video: Grant Dunoon
We're in the UK right now, back at Liz's mum's home of Rye in East Sussex. This ancient port town in steeped in nautical history and boats come right in to the town centre to moor up. We thought we'd do a little bit of recording down by the slipway, so with Liz leading the way we venture to the water's edge. Liz, however, doesn't clock where the slipway ends and the mud begins.
http://www.viewyacht.com/windfall 'WINDFALL combines luxury and comfort with cutting edge technology and performance in a way that has rarely been seen before. Performance sport is clearly the core of this yacht but she is equally proud of her cruising comfort. The intelligent and beautiful collaboration between Southern Wind Shipyard, Reichel Pugh and Nauta Design has resulted in a sense of great comfort and security whilst sailing. Music by bensound.com
