Join us on a journey to the heart of the Louisiades Archipelago in Papua New Guinea, where we explore a traditional village house made entirely from materials sourced from the surrounding bush. In this remote part of the world, the locals rely on their resourcefulness, cutting down sago trees with machetes to build homes that can last up to 20 years. Solo trip to Dartmouth as a shakedown for Thalmia (the yacht) and Derek (the skipper) - mostly the latter who needed to remember how to manage a 32ft boat singlehanded. Moored to a visitors buoy at Dittisham. Mostly all good - few exceptions which I will cover in a subsequent video!
