Can a tourist keep up with a Solomon Island local? 🌴 We tried our hand at traditional coconut scraping to make some fresh coconut cream, but let’s just say we were a bit outmatched! It’s incredible to see how fast the locals can work—in the time it took us to do half a coconut, he had finished the whole batch! Such a fun way to learn about local food culture in Telina. Have you ever tried scraping a coconut like this? Let us know in the comments! Is it safe to sail in a deep canyon? Sure! If you watch the wind and weather closely, have the right equipment, and familiarize yourself with how mountainous terrain affects the wind. Also, always carry the appropriate safety gear and practice your emergency and storm skills (man overboard, hove-to, reefing, anchoring, etc.) This is me solo sailing my 2010 Precision 18 sailboat in Utah's stunning Flaming Gorge along the Green River.
