Week 3 of the season ending Frosties Regatta at Strangford Lough Yacht Club was very different to the first 2 weeks. The crews were greated with with 8 to 12 knots of breeze from the West which would eventually fade before doing a 180 degree flip as it died out to 4 to 5 knots from the East. The J109 Going To Red and the A35 Le Bascular continued there matching racing series to see who would take the title of Frosties Champion 2023. The team on J109 GTR broke to the right of the course at the start which turned out to be the wrong decision as the Island end of the line was favoured. The A35 was leading at the first mark after a couple of close crosses but the J109 got a better set while to leeward which allowed them to push the A35 up to windward which caused them to momentarily round up letting the J109 jump out in front and gybe on the inside. The A35 came back in the second half of the run to lead at the bottom mark before stretching out their lead on the last beat. In this video, I answer the question of How many prefectures I have visited, and how I got there. I don`t keep track of numbers, but the question got me thinking. So I scoured the map and my various journals and realized I have only two prefectures to go before I visit all 47! And how I got there? Well: 39 by bicycle 33 by car 30 by train 16 by sailboat 10 by airplane 9 by ferry 3 by helicopter. I welcome the return of visitors to Japan. While the great cities of Japan have much to offer, I hope that the incoming visitors also discover the remote corners of Japan, which are rich in historical, cultural, geographical, aesthetic, and culinary treasures. It’s great to see that many of those communities are experiencing a renaissance as people of all ages are being lured by local authorities to move and set up businesses. I’ve seen firsthand their entrepreneurial spirit and how they offer a warm welcome to visitors! #travel #japan #entrepreneur oh, and the two I have not yet visited are Shimane and Okinawa
