Having set off from Montenegro at the end of April we thought we would have plenty of time to make it to the South of France for a planned lift out in early July but the weather had been challenging so far, with too much wind at the beginning of the season and now, too little. We recently navigated the uncharted Kinabatangan River, aka 560 km of wild, winding waterways home to monkeys, elephants and other rare and endangered wildlife. The surface looks calm, but at night, those glowing eyes of giant crocs in the torchlight remind you who really owns this place... very splash had our crew looking twice! Along the way, we met locals who live entirely from this river, their homes perched on its banks. Guys, would you sail up this river?? Let us know in the comments below!
