On a crisp evening we had the pleasure of making homestyle New England staples for a think tank for the creative and technology spaces. Guests hailed from Africa, Inited States, and Japan. We made Atlantic Salmon with Dill Creme. Vegan Manhattan style Chowder. Black Pearl Clam Chowder. Pot Roast. Last but not least. Eaton Mess. In the last weeks, our team put six bilge stringers to add strength and stiffness to the hull. For each one, we follow the same procedure: The first step is to create a template and transfer it to the carefully selected piece of oak, which we shape into form with circular saws, planers and sanders. Then our team uses a mix of linseed oil, tar and chalk to seal the gaps between the bilge stringer and frames.
