SUBSCRIBE OUR CHANNEL https://www.youtube.com/c/theboatshow/?sub_confirmation=1 We had a very extreme adrenaline experience just few weeks ago...and we could not wait to share it with you! Now we can! We were aboard Fsd 195 by Ferretti Security & Defense, a 20-meter hi-tech Patrol Boat capable of exceeding 50 knots with two 1900 horsepower MAN engines. It is very agile to perform any action very quickly. The control area is technological but also very comfortable because the clarity of the crew is essential to operate in dramatic (or critical) situations. Enjoy this images and get ready to see the full boat reaview, it'll be ready soooon! By Maurizio Bulleri The Boat Show

Most boats don't allow you to walk around the outside of the forward bed. There's no perfect way to make that kind of bed, whether it's being on top of the bed while making it, or as Ira is expiramenting with here, being under the bed!

Caribbean Sailing During Hurricane Season! β›΅οΈβ›ˆοΈπŸŒ€οΈ Sailing in the Caribbean during hurricane season means dealing with more frequent squalls compared to the dry season. The weather becomes inconsistent and even if the forecast looks good, you might encounter squalls on longer passages, with quite big waves in the acceleration zones between the islands. Pick the right weather window, these squalls are usually brief. Reef early and relaxβ€”sunshine will return in a few minutes. Sometimes though, tropical waves bring bad weather for a longer period of time. In those cases, it’s best to find a safe anchorage and wait it out. Weather planning is crucial during this season. Cheers guys, stay safe! β›΅οΈβ›ˆοΈβ˜€οΈ #weather #hurricaneseason #squall . #storm #sailing #badweather #bigwaves #ocean #offshoresailing #oceanwaves #sailorgirl #caribbeansailing #adventure #digitalnomad #nomadiclife #womenwhosail #nautical

Transom is an old word deeply rooted in tradition, like many nautical terms. The word is also used in architecture in a similar function. So what is the boat transom, and why are they important? I've started the 2nd prototype wheelhouse extension (and dismantled the first). We had proved the concept but wanted the central fixed part a little narrower. The goals are a full cockpit enclosure AND moving the mainsheet from the top of the aft cabin to above the wheelhouse (better safety and a better sheeting angle). We also refitted the timber trim on the port side complete with the front zip for the first removable window section. We are now living aboard our Rival 38 Centre Cockpit full-time while finishing a refit so we can launch ASAP. We have a frequently updated blog at https://sustainablesailing.net with membership options and a weekly newsletter at Β£2 per month for Early Bird Supporters. Our free Sustainable Sailing book is at: https://sustainablesailing.codeberg.page/ Or visit our shop at https://sustainablesailing.teemill.com/ for great hoodies, t-shirts and bags. When we bought Vida in August 2019 she was in a very tired and damp condition with all original equipment and fittings (much of it not working). We have removed all the gas, diesel and paraffin equipment, and are installing all-electric (motor, cooking etc).
