Join us on the water as we explore the thrill of competitive sailing and the importance of strategy and tactics in yacht racing. From the start line to the finish, sailing close to other boats can be exhilarating, but how close is too close? We'll be sharing our expertise and experiences from events like the Frosties Regatta on Strangford Lough, where the competition is fierce and the sailors need to have their wits about them to navigate the tight spaces. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or just starting out, this video will provide valuable insights into sailing starts, upwind sailing, and sailing tactics that can help you improve your skills and stay safe on the ocean. We'll also be discussing the benefits of sailing drills and training to help you become a better sailor and a valuable member of a yacht crew. With stunning footage of bottom up boats and yachts in action, this video is a must-watch for anyone who loves sailing, yachting, and the thrill of racing on the sea. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride as we take you on an ocean adventure like no other. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying these short clips from the 2025 racing season

A domani! Andrea

New episode! We make it to North Cape—without sails this time! As you know, we’re on our bike, and we’ve now officially reached 71° North. While we’re here at North Cape, we run into someone who biked all the way from Cape Town to here—Cape to Cape. Super impressive! After soaking in some absolutely stunning views, we head to Tromsø, a place we last visited after our Svalbard/Spitsbergen adventure—when we sailed all the way up to 80° North. Yeah, that was pretty epic too. We take a stroll along the dock and relive memories from sailing into Tromsø back in 2022 and longing to get back on the boat again!
