Two racing yachts hoist their colorful spinnakers too close together — and things go wrong fast! The sails twist and tangle mid-turn as crews pull ropes and shout commands over the roaring wind. Captured from a chase boat in stunning, ultra-realistic detail. ⛵ Pure adrenaline. Pure sailing. 🌊 #TangledSpinnakers #SailingShorts #YachtRacing #SailingFails #RealSailing #OceanAdventure #YachtLife #SailingVibes #BoatRace #WindAndWaves ---
Any #yacht featured in the superb pre-Second World War series of ‘Uffa Fox books’ is without question a special one, and DRIAC may be best known these days from her inclusion in Fox’s ‘Sailing, Seamanship and Yacht Construction’ (1934). From a time when the design of the ideal offshore #sailing #cruiser was still evolving and much discussed, Uffa waxed lyrical about this characterful Charles E. Nicholson design which had comfortably reeled off well over 5000 miles in her first two seasons, including Portsmouth to Malta and back, under the command of her redoubtable first owner, A.G.H. Macpherson. DRIAC is still taking people on sailing adventures and, as she has always done, entrances with her looks, presence, and no-nonsense sailing ability. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/608/DRIAC
The Go Cycle bike folds up for easy stowage on your boat, and that's not the only trick up its lithium-ion sleeve. We don't usually pay much attention to bicycles at Boats.com, but in the case of the Go Cycle, well, it's a completely different matter. Thanks to its folding abilities, this is the perfect form of land transportation to pack into an extra stowage compartment on your boat. Like they say on TV: But wait, there's more! The Go Cycle has a lithium-ion battery built into its frame. Press a button, and you get 20 to 40 miles of range on electric power. When you feel in need of a work-out, let go of the button and start pedaling. Nifty! http://features.boats.com/boat-content/2013/11/first-look-video-go-cycle For more videos, visit www.boats.com.
