We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Other sailors advised us to visit the 2 islands below Cannes, because it was so idyllic. You would be very protected from wind and swell on the 'Plateau du milieu' = between the 2 islands, where it was only 3 meters deep and a good sandy bottom. in this crystal clear water the azure color of the Mediterranean Sea was clearly visible. It was indeed beautiful! Here's a movie filmed with a drone as we lay at anchor (thank you Marco Clazin!). You see, we weren't the only boat this summer ;)
