First Light - Beneteau First 35 slipping into the main harbour at the half way mark of the Harbour Race of Cork Week 2024. With over 100 boats on the start line everyone was fighting for air shortly after the start, with the tide coming in all day it paid to get right early to find both clear air and some relief from the stronger tide out in the main channel. On the way back in the trick was to find the deepest part of the channel to ensure you were in maximum tide to increase your speed over ground. Trinidad was our Australian Shepherd's first experience of the jungle, and there's no doubt Rose loves it!! Near to where our sailing home is hauled out, there are some easy jungle trails that really showcase the natural beauty of Trinidad. This particular trail is the Covigne River Gorge, a hiking spot that takes you through the lush trees and tall bamboo, into steep gorges and up waterfalls.
