Juan Carlos from Multitech is back aboard my 1998 Island Packet 320 finishing the hookup on my new Yanmar 3YM30AE. We’re getting closer, but we’ve run into a classic boat-project problem: the throttle cable base isn’t working with the existing cables and the new engine setup, so this is one of several things that need to be modified. In order to ensure a perfect installation, we first dry-fit the composite deck of the LM46 to the cold-molded hull. Once perfected, we lift the deck off, apply a layer of adhesive, and move the deck back in to place. Here is a timelapse of that process. The first hull of this new performance cruiser will be launching this summer 2021.
