Now that my daughters are growing up and have their own plans nowadays, I am much more by myself and that takes some time to get used to. I knew this moment was coming, but experiencing it is something else. 😳 How do I deal with ‘Vita’ instead of mum...well, solo sailing, for instance! Exciting but completing from A-B-A on your own gives me such a positive boost. It feels like a victory and makes me stronger every time.☺️ How do you cope with change of life?❤️

Longer version at katamarans.com/bowline-on-a-bight/ 🔸 The Bowline on the Bight is a double-loop variation of the bowline. Tie it in the centre of a line when you need a loop and you can't easily get to either end. 🔸 It makes a good hoist if you have to lower or raise someone, with one loop the seat and the other under the armpits and around the chest. The loops should not slip and it shouldn't jam after strain. 🔸 With a doubled up rope, make a small overhand loop as you would in a Bowline. When we anchored in Monte Argentario on Italy's west coast the Zaca came and anchored next to us. We did a quick search to find out that this boat was once owned by Errol Flynn.
