Giorno 138 - una pausa rigenerante Sono giorni intensi quelli che viviamo ultimamente. Molto lavoro, molte miglia, molte cose da fare, poco tempo per fare tutto. Imparare nuove skill sul lavoro Imparare meccanica, elettronica, idraulica a bordo Imparare a coltivare passioni e salute fisica e psicologica. A volte ci sembra di inseguire tutto ciò, annaspando, accompagnati da quella sgradevole sensazione di essere un passo indietro, sempre in ritardo. Parlando con amici e con qualcuno di voi nei DM abbiamo visto come sia un sentimento piuttosto condiviso. Chiaramente ognuno lo declina a modo suo, ma il filo rosso che unisce la sensazione di inadeguatezza, ritardo e affanno è piuttosto condivisa. Che fare quindi? Purtroppo su questa pagina troverete molte domande e poche risposte :) Con noi funziona imparare a lasciare andare, a mollare il freno a mano, guardarci indietro e individuare un faro nella nebbia, qualcosa che nonostante tutto sta lì, solido, stabile. Sono giorni intensi quelli che viviamo ultimamente. Siamo eternamente grati per la fortuna, le scelte che abbiamo fatto, il supporto delle nostre famiglie, la nostra tenacia. Fare questo viaggio sta riallineando dei tasselli interiori e il nostro desiderio è di condividerlo con voi, lasciar andare (per restare in tema) i cambiamenti che stanno avvenendo e orientarci sempre a un nuovo giorno. Un nuovo viaggio. Nuove miglia. Altri venti. Che soffi sempre nella direzione in cui vuoi andare. 🌬️ C.

So grateful for this life! Whales, dolphins, fresh fish and amazing sunsets every day! 9 years ago every single person around me said I was crazy sailing 2000nm from the Netherlands to Ibiza in winter on a 28ft boat with no experience. Experienced sailors said I wouldn’t even make it to Belgium (our neighbor country) And look at my life now. Still no money on my account (16 dollars now to be honest) but I wouldn’t want to chance my life for anything. I’ve got the most beautiful house to travel the world with, meeting amazing people daily and have adventures and experiences that no money can’t buy. Big shout out to all my sponsors that make it possible to pay for my boat maintenance so I can safely cross oceans and replace materials and products that the salt water and sun love to destroy. I think and appreciate you every day looking at my beautiful sails. (I still have two big spots left on the Genoa if anyone is interested) Have a amazing day everyone and know that you can change your life for the good every day. No matter what other people say. As the wind and waves increased it is a wet ride for the jib trimmer down to leeward on our Mumm 36 racing yacht. As the spray pounds into his face it is all eyes on the leach of the sail, making minor lots of adjustments to allow the skipper to carve through the waves while keeping the speed on. The Mumm 36 loved the breeze and when she was setup correctly with lots of mast bend in the breeze she could power through most conditions without having to put a reef in the main. Continual minor trim adjustments where needed to keep the boat in the groove and make life easy for the skipper need to be in in tune with the changes to sail the boat fast. The team at bottom up boats loved the Mumm and the fun we had while racing her as hard as we could on strangford lough and beyond.
