We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). With full sails and steady winds, we arrive just in time for a golden sunset in the bay of Peguera. We explore the historic heart of Palma, including the stunning Palma Cathedral (La Seu) and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, before enjoying some authentic Mallorcan cuisine at a local favorite. Back on board, it’s time for some essential sailboat maintenance. We take down our headsail, inspect and lubricate the furling system, and patch a few tears on the leech. With Vika on the winch and Kaia back in shape, we’re ready to continue our journey.
