Today we took the apprentices on a day out to visit The Sutton Hoo ship replica, an Anglo-Saxon ship which was buried in the 7th century and is now being replicated thanks to the amazingly talented restorers at The Sutton Hoo Ship Company in Woodbridge, Suffolk. This village I am currently moored made national news yesterday because of a ‘linear precipitation belt’ passed over and dumped a mountain of rain … the most they have seen in 30 years. I am on board and safe . But debris is gathering around the boat
