Sailboat Repairs; U-Bolts Installed. As we near completion for our major sailboat repairs-our excitement mounts. These are the U-Bolts that we had specially machined, here in Anacortes to hold our mast. They extend through the chainplates to the interior of our Sceptre 41. We plan to be sailing in about two weeks towards B.C., where we will be spending 2-3 months doing our 'shakedown cruise', before heading south. ► They are 7, 5 and 2 years old and their names are Nelson, Charlotte and Mathilda. A quick look at the layout in the floor panel that houses the watermaker through-hull and the various hoses used to pickle the watermaker (stabilize the membrane for extended periods of non-use). The clear hoses are extra long and coiled in this storage area so that nothing else is needed except a bucket contained the mixed pickling solution.
