One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. All of the 500m World Speed Sailing Records that have been set since 1988. Paul Larsen on Sail Rocket 2 still holds the record at an average of 65.45 kts over half a kilometre, but there are a couple of teams that are challenging for the honours.
