The Corby 30Custom - Raptor - IRL 811 beating to windward on the way to the first mark of the Harbour Race of Volvo Cork Week 2024. The Team on J109 Going to Red were in a tight battle with the coastal race IRC entry after a poor start. A few close tacks up the right hand shore allowed GTR to pull away from the smaller yacht with a similar rating. We talked with the Greek windsurfer Byron Kokkalanis, who placed fifth at the 2016 Summer Olympics and sixth at the 2012 London Olympic Games, and his coach, Nikolaos Kaklamanakis, the Greek gold-medal winner who lit the Olympic torch in the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens!
