A lovely example is in this video of a Merry Fisher inboard weekend cruiser. She is shaft driven tunning a single three-blade propellor. The inboard diesel boats were phased out replaced by outboard motor versions. Although the outboard version was a totally different hull shape, faster and quieter the inboard boat still has a great following on the used boat market.
