La ZEPHYR800 és una embarcació de 8 metres d’eslora dissenyada per a navegants del segle XXI, amb un estil únic i funcional que facilita la transició energètica. Preparada per incorporar motors elèctrics, aquesta embarcació redefineix la navegació amb zero emissions, absència de soroll i manteniment reduït. És la primera embarcació presentada en el Projecte de Descarbonització d’Embarcacions d’Esbarjo, impulsat per la FBCN dins el marc de la Copa Amèrica, demostrant la viabilitat i sostenibilitat de la navegació 100% elèctrica. Els materials de la ZEPHYR800 ECO han estat seleccionats seguint criteris de sostenibilitat, prioritzant l'ús de materials reciclats, reciclables i reutilitzables, sempre dins de les possibilitats tecnològiques actuals de la drassana. Aquest enfocament ens permet reduir de manera significativa la petjada de carboni associada al procés de fabricació de l'embarcació.

How to make a new yard, step 1. 😊 This week has included locating, taking down, debarking and preparing timber that will become six new yards on the ship! Heading out on our big expedition to Asia next year, we need to bring spare yards with us, and this week has been very busy at the sawmill outside of Laholm. Once the first processing of the logs has been done, they will be brought back to the workshop in Gothenburg where the work will continue. For the rig enthusiasts: The first log in the video will be an angled mizzan yard (latine yard). The second will be the second half of our main yard. One of the logs will also be our new spritsail yard to replace the one that broke this summer. The current one will go back to being the spare spritsail yard.
