Over the past year I've been going shopping every week at the Central Market in Port of Spain. It's a fantastic local market with a huge range of quality seafood, meat, herbs, vegetables and fruit. In that time I've made connections with some of the local vendors who I really enjoy seeing each week. This week one market vendor kindly gifted me a Trinidadian cook book! It is primitive, painful and lonely work, and she is one of a dying breed.
